Satan On Sundays: August 25th, 2014
Dear Family and Friends,
To start off, I want to clarify about the Sister missionaries' hair in our previous meeting. It is doing well and it's not because of them that I wanted to torch their hair, it was the meeting. That probably makes zero sense, but all is well.
Two weeks ago in Sunday, I was trapped like every missionary has been or will be in their mission by one of the Stake High Council members and asked to give a talk during sacrament--during the opening hymn. Well, hopefully my pitiful attempt to talk about the missionary work and the Plan of Salvation wasn't as bad as I thought it was. The members who complimented me afterwards were either genuine or well trained liars.
So our Gospel Principles class has become quite the heated little event of the week and I LOVE IT! Between Messianic Jews and "Baptist Preachers in Training" each week is better than the last. It might have become a bit of a problem because one of the recent converts vented to us the other night at dinner that, "I can take all the crap for being a member during the week and that's okay. That's expected. But come Sunday, I want to be uplifted and be spiritual! I don't have time for Satan on Sundays!"
And that's the motto of the week. I just don't have time for Satan on Sundays, or any other day of the week that is. I'm too busy to be bogged down by him. Keep the commandments and make it a great week!
Mucho amor,
Elder Beau Hart
