Last Day at the CCM: October 1st, 2013
Hey Family and Friends!
This is my final night at the CCM. I'm so happy and nervous at the same time. Tomorrow my flight leaves at 7 and I should be at the mission home in Missouri around 4 pm. It's gametime for real this time.
This week we had in field orientation--the most boring thing ever. I was sick, which didn't help with all the frustration of the day, and our district was in a bad mood for some reason. Maybe we contracted something from the water? Basically we sat around all day watching cheesey videos and meticulously filling in the blanks on our papers. It was high school all over again. No me gusta.
Sunday night was a big celebration in the city for some Saint that I don't know. It was great! Mexicans sure do love their fireworks! We had our District review outside under the exploding lights throughout the city. I'm going to miss Mexico. It's funny how after a while of struggling with different things, Spanish, my companions gassy sleep, (it's the refried beans I tell ya), and saying goodbye to my district, a simple thing like fireworks can light up your entire week! And because I've been trained to sleep through my dad's (and mom's) snoring, I slept like a baby that night, while the city partied till sunrise.
Also, sorry if any spelling is wrong or if my grammar is bad, I'm not that good at English and now the Lord has asked that I learn Spanish also. Sorry if it's short also, I'm not a big fan of journal entries for emails.
Quick highlights:
I get to the field tomorrow.
I'm learning how to play the piano!
I'm coming back to the good ol' USA.
My bags are under weight.
Love you all!
