Hey Family and Friends!
Hope you had a great week! Elder Tillett and I sure did. General Conference was amazing! The Lord speaks through modern-prophets today. The Gospel has been restored! Nothing gets you more fired up to preach the Gospel than hearing Thomas S. Monson and other Witnesses of Christ pouring out a flood of revelation.
I'm seriously dying on time, so I'll quickly relate a funny experience from the week. After our effective plans fell through, Elder Tillett and I decided to go hunting for investigators in what I've dubbed, "Little Chihuahua, Mexico" in our area. During the heart pounding moments of knocking on doors and encountering little success, we spotted a target on the horizon (other side of the street). A young couple with a toddler darting between legs and a young baby in a stroller had just ended their family walk and were returning home to their apartment. Playing it cool, we strolled (dashed) over to their abode and tracted to our finest ability. Laura, the mother, loved everything we taught. God is our Heavenly Father. Check! The Gospel blesses Families. Even better! The Book of Mormon. Nothing but gold! Feeling on top of the world, like missionary work could never be this easy, I asked for a return appointment. Laura told us that the family could meet this Monday, but sadly our night was booked. We asked if there was another day. Then it all changed. Laura handed the copy of the Book of Mormon back and told us she wasn't interested anymore. We begged for another day, but before we knew it, she had closed the door and we were standing on the porch alone, unsure of how we went from the Narnia of a missionary work to getting rejected in .0001892 seconds. Then we kept going on. That's all you can do, I've learned. Little by little, just keep truckin' onwards and you'll find success eventually.
Thanks for your time. Make it a great week! Mucho amor!
